
On the morning of July 25, 2023, at the Nha Be Oil Terminal, the Inspection Delegation of the National Assembly's Standing Committee had a working session with the Petroleum Company of Petrolimex Saigon on "The Implementation of Policies and Laws on Energy Development in the 2016-2021 Period." Comrade Nguyen Duc Hai, Central Party Committee Member, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly, and Head of the Inspection Delegation, presided over the meeting.


In attendance were Comrade Le Quang Huy, Central Party Committee Member, Member of the National Assembly's Standing Committee, Head of the Committee for Science, Technology & Environment, and Deputy Head of the Inspection Delegation; Comrade Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Minister of Planning & Investment; Comrade Nguyen Cong Long, Standing Member of the Judicial Committee, Inspection Delegation Member; Comrade Tran Duc Thuan, Standing Member of the Defense & Security Committee; heads and deputy heads of departments and bureaus of the Ministries of Finance, Industry and Trade, Science and Technology, Natural Resources and Environment, as well as representatives from central and local media agencies.

From the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, there were Comrade Vo Van Hoan, Deputy Chairman of the People's Committee, and leaders of the Departments of Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment, Urban Planning, and Science and Technology.
Representatives from the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) included Deputy General Director Nguyen Xuan Hung, Chairman of Petrolimex Saigon - Vo Van Tan, Director of Petrolimex Saigon - Pham Anh Tuan, as well as members of the Board of Directors and leaders of various departments, divisions, and centers of the company. Key personnel from the Nha Be Oil Terminal were also present.
During the working session, the Inspection Delegation of the National Assembly's Standing Committee listened to the report of Petrolimex Saigon on the results of production and business activities, preservation, and national oil and gas reserves during the period 2016 - 2022. The report highlighted the difficulties and challenges faced by the company and presented proposals and recommendations.

After listening to the company's report, the delegates acknowledged that despite the impact of the domestic and international markets and the Covid-19 pandemic, the company had been dynamic and responsive to market changes.
As directed by Comrade Nguyen Duc Hai, Head of the Inspection Delegation, the delegates raised direct and straightforward questions, focusing on important issues such as national oil and gas reserve work, goods management, ensuring security and safety of oil depots, environmental protection, market supply assurance, and network expansion of petroleum retail outlets.
In his concluding remarks, Comrade Nguyen Duc Hai, Central Party Committee Member, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly, and Head of the Inspection Delegation, recognized and highly appreciated the results of the company's production and business tasks during the 2016 - 2022 period, especially in stabilizing the market and ensuring energy security.

At the end of the working session, the Inspection Delegation spent time visiting the Nha Be Oil Terminal to see its operational activities.
