The Milestone of 6.5 Million m³/tons – A Powerful Emulation Driver Toward the 2026 Employees’ Conference of Petrolimex Saigon

 12:42 PM @ Wednesday - 28 January, 2026

In preparation for the 2026 Employees’ Conference of Petrolimex Saigon One Member Limited Liability Company, scheduled for January 16, 2026, Nha Be Petroleum Terminal has marked a remarkable milestone, achieving a total throughput volume of 6.5 million m³/tons. This figure represents the highest output in the Terminal’s 50-year history (1975–2025). More than a record-setting number, this achievement vividly demonstrates the unity, resilience, and continuous innovation spirit of the collective workforce of the Terminal and the Company.

Mr. Vo Van Tan, Chairman of Petrolimex Saigon, and Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of Petrolimex Saigon (third from the left), together with Mr. Dao Van Hung, Deputy Director of Petrolimex Saigon (second from the left), and Mr. Trinh Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of Petrolimex Saigon (far left), witnessed this historic moment and extended their congratulations to the leadership and all employees and workers of the Terminal.

This milestone was established amid numerous pressures faced by Nha Be Petroleum Terminal, including complex global political and economic developments, unpredictable oil price fluctuations, and the requirement to implement storage capacity planning separating Group-owned products from consigned goods starting in early 2025. In addition, the tank system—many of which have been in operation for over 15 years—required cleaning and maintenance, while technological upgrades were necessary to receive Euro V petroleum products, as the Terminal serves as an upstream hub. Furthermore, road-based deliveries increased sharply, accounting for nearly 70% of total throughput, imposing very high demands on scheduling, safety, and operational organization.

In response to these challenges, under the close and decisive direction of the leadership of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and Petrolimex Saigon, Nha Be Petroleum Terminal proactively optimized storage capacity planning and inbound–outbound scheduling, maintained 24/7 information connectivity with relevant units, closely monitored vessel schedules, and developed flexible and efficient receiving plans. These solutions helped reduce vessel berthing time and minimize waiting situations during peak periods.

Mr. Vo Van Tan, Chairman of Petrolimex Saigon (right), Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of Petrolimex Saigon (left), and Mr. Bui Cong Minh, Director of Nha Be Petroleum Terminal (fourth from the right), together with the Company and Terminal leadership, performed the ceremonial button-press officially marking the record of 6.5 million m³/tons in terminal throughput.

At the same time, Nha Be Petroleum Terminal intensified the application of science and technology, effectively leveraging automated truck queuing systems, projected output alerts, and vehicle arrival time forecasting. The synchronized operation of the SAP-ERP system, middleware platforms, automatic tank gauging, and business intelligence (BI) reporting ensured accurate inventory control, with product losses consistently maintained below permissible limits. Key works, including pipeline renovation, complete technological separation of Euro V product import–export systems, pump house upgrades, and periodic tank maintenance, were implemented decisively, ensuring absolute safety even under high-capacity operations.

Notably, human resources and corporate culture continued to be affirmed as critical internal driving forces. Through rational workforce allocation, rotation, and a strong focus on internal training, labor productivity at the Terminal exceeded 5,700 m³ per employee per year. The workforce demonstrated not only solid professional competence and strict operational discipline, but also deep adherence to Petrolimex’s commercial ethics, building strong trust with customers and partners. The proud 50-year tradition of formation and development has become a powerful spiritual motivation, inspiring every employee to dedicate themselves to the shared growth of the organization.

Mr. Vo Van Tan, Chairman of Petrolimex Saigon, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of Petrolimex Saigon, together with Mr. Bui Cong Minh, Director of Nha Be Petroleum Terminal, and Mr. Luu Anh Tu, Deputy Director of Nha Be Petroleum Terminal (far left), presented gifts to the direct production teams and groups—those who have quietly made significant contributions to the Terminal’s overall achievements.

The milestone of 6.5 million m³/tons is the crystallization of the intelligence, professionalism, and strong sense of responsibility of the Nha Be Petroleum Terminal workforce. It also affirms the correctness of the Terminal’s strategic transformation from a traditional petroleum depot to a “Safe – Green – Clean – Smart” operational model. This achievement serves as a solid foundation for the Terminal to continue strengthening its role as a vital artery in the national petroleum supply system, contributing positively to the sustainable development of Petrolimex Saigon in the new phase—“to go further together.”
