
On October 3, 2025, the 17th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Petrolimex Sai Gon Company Limited was successfully held. The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Company’s Youth Union for the 2025–2030 term, as well as the Secretary, Deputy Secretaries, and delegates to attend the 5th Congress of the Petrolimex Youth Union.

Attending the Congress were Mr. Vo Van Tan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Company; Mr. Pham Binh Phuong, Deputy Director and Chairman of the Company’s Trade Union; Mr. Trinh Quoc Viet, Deputy Director; and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Deputy Secretary in charge and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Petrolimex Youth Union.

According to the Report on Youth Union Activities for the 2022–2025 term, the Company’s Youth Union had many achievements: 48 members matured out of the Union, and 12 new members were admitted; As of August 2025, the Youth Union had 348 members; 68 outstanding members were introduced to the Party, all of whom were admitted, with 39 already becoming official Party members.

During the 2022–2025 term, the Youth Union carried out effective political and ideological education for its members through activities such as “returning to the roots,” legal and ethical education, and traditional values promotion. It also launched youth movements encouraging members to excel in their professional duties for the development of the Company, society, and the defense of the Fatherland. Many creative initiatives by Youth Union members were recognized by the Company’s Innovation Council and replicated across the system, contributing to improved management efficiency and ensuring fire and explosion safety.

The Youth Union also organized many volunteer activities, such as blood donation drives, social welfare and child care programs with a total value exceeding VND 500 million, environmental protection campaigns, and participation in cultural and sports activities.

The report emphasized that these results were achieved thanks to the guidance and close direction of the Party Committee, the Company’s Board of Directors, and the superior Youth Union organization, as well as the proactive role and creativity of each Youth Union member, who integrated Youth Union activities closely with professional duties, thereby affirming the Union’s important role in every unit.
Agreeing with the report and recognizing the Youth Union’s achievements in the 2022–2025 term, Mr. Vo Van Tan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Company, praised the Youth Union’s contributions to the sustainable development of Petrolimex Sai Gon.
He also emphasized the key orientations for the next term:
- Continue to strengthen political awareness and revolutionary ideals; each member must be a proactive, exemplary nucleus, spreading the positive image of Petrolimex youth.
- Promote unity after the merger, strengthen interaction and harmony to build a dynamic, responsible, and cohesive youth collective.
- Be pioneers in innovation and digital transformation, proactively proposing initiatives and technical improvements, and applying science and technology to business and management to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Actively participate in social welfare and community programs, affirming the courage, compassion, and social responsibility of Petrolimex Sai Gon youth.
Building a New Generation of Youth Members: Brave – United – Creative – Digitally Transformed – For Green Energy

At the Congress, the new Executive Committee for the 2025–2030 term was elected, including 11 members: Mr. Tran Hoang Anh, Member of the Company’s Party Executive Committee and Deputy Head of the Organization Department, was re-elected as Secretary; Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Linh, Secretary of the Youth Branch of Nha Be Petroleum Terminal, and Ms. Do Hong Hoai Trinh, Secretary of the Company Office Youth Branch, were elected as Deputy Secretaries.
The new term sets the goal of building a generation of young members with strong political integrity, pure revolutionary ideals, good ethics and lifestyle, high discipline, and responsibility, worthy of being the trusted reserve force of the Party.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Deputy Secretary in charge and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Petrolimex Youth Union, expressed hope that the Company’s Youth Union will continue to follow the Group’s and the Company’s Party Committee’s orientations, building clear, time-based action plans to contribute to business operations and to social responsibility, thereby nurturing a generation of modern Petrolimex youth — brave, intelligent, and humane.
Expressing gratitude for the guidance and trust of the Company’s leadership and superior Youth Union bodies, newly elected Secretary Tran Hoang Anh pledged to work with all members to continue building Petrolimex Sai Gon youth who are “Brave – United – Creative – Digitally Transformed – For Green Energy”, through specific missions such as: Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; Strengthening political, legal, ethical, and corporate culture education; Promoting youth movements for national construction and defense, such as “Youth pioneering in national defense and construction”, “Volunteer Youth”, and “Creative Youth”; Organizing programs that support young workers, enhance skills, physical fitness, and cultural life; Gathering youth and contributing to Party building in the Company.
