Ho Chi Minh City, on July 19th 2013. This morning, Petrolimex Saigon President and Director Tran Van Thang chaired Conference of Summation Engineering Task for stage 2006-2012 and determined orientations and tasks for stage 2013-2020.

Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Van Lich - Secretary of Party Committee of Central Enterprises Bloc in HCMC, Mr. Bui Ngoc Bao – Chairman of Petrolimex Board of Management, Mr. Vuong Thai Dung – Petrolimex Deputy Director General, representatives from several departments of Petrolimex Group, and leaders of Petrolimex member companies. On the part of Petrolimex Saigon, there were Board of Director, Union President, Youth Union Secretary, managers of departments; from Petrolimex Saigon’ units and all employees who are working in engineering at Petrolimex Saigon.
The stage 2006 to 2012, with the attention, guidance closely and timely of Vietnam National Petroleum Group along with attempting to overcome all difficulties and challenges from all employees, Petrolimex Saigon has invested, constructed, upgraded, modified and overhauled many construction projects with a total investment value of over 1.080 billion VND. During this stage, the company has built a system with modern technical infrastructure, developing in depth, ensuring landscape and absolute safety; has well served production and business activities of Petrolimex and it’s units.

Achievements have gained, such as: system of modern storage deports with a total capacity of 730.000 cbm,ton, capacity of import-export of 8-10 million cbm, ton/year; distribution network of 67 owned retail petroleum stationsacross districts in Ho Chi Minh City with identifier according to new Petrolimex’s standards; development investment 6.6 billion VND for customers; establishment of Kien Giang Petroleum Company Limited (Petrolimex Kien Giang)…, petroleum quality management systemwith modern equipments are organized and managed according to ISO/IEC 17025 standard,integrated management system “Quality - Safety – Environment” in accordance withISO 9001, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000; together with a collective team officials, engineers, skilled workers with many years of experience.
The conference set out the orientation of the engineering task for stage 2013-2020,the following: continue investment, repair, modification, upgrade to develop the technical infrastructure system all over the company in order to ensure consistency, safety - modern - green, clean and beautiful in accordance withthe development strategy of Petrolimex. Management, exploitation, safe operation of the technical infrastructure system efficiency to improve competitiveness;recruitment and training to build the leadership and management team as well as operation team professionally in order to satisfy all needs.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Bui Ngoc Bao – Chairman of Petrolimex Board of Management required Petrolimex Saigon to exploit the technical infrastructure system which has been invested in more and more effective; reviewing the exploitation and using efficiency of automation system; reviewing and updating processes of exploitation and operation; upgrading retail petroleum stations with good yield; strengthening and improvingthe safety-work, explosion and fire prevention, environmental protection.
Petrolimex Saigon believed that with the guidance of Vietnam National Petroleum Group along with the dedication of all employees with their hearts out, Petrolimex Saigon will complete all the tasks and objectives for the next period, stage 2013- 2020.
