On May 3rd, 2012 at Nha Be Oil Terminal, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong – Member of the Party Standing Committee, Deputy President of the City People’s Committee, together with representativesof departments such as: Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Finance, Department ofConstruction, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Planning and Architecture, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting Police, and leaders of Nha Be District visited and worked with Vietnam National Petroleum Group and Petrolimex Saigon Ltd. Co.
Working with this delegation, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Lich – Secretary and members of Party Standing Committee of Central Enterprises Bloc.
On the part o fPetrolimex, there were Mr Bui Ngoc Bao – Chairman of Petrolimex Board of Management, Mr. Pham Duc Thang – Deputy Director General; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Chai – Manager of Sales Department and leaders of Petrolimex member companies of city region; Board of Director and managers of departments of Petrolimex Saigon; together with leaders of Petrolimex Saigon subsidiaries.

On behalf of the company, Mr. Nguyen Van Canh – Deputy Director of Petrolimex Saigon reported on the process of the formation, development, scale and scope of business of the Petrolimex Group and Petrolimex Saigon; the result of investment and modernization of infrastructure, the ability of oil import – export – storage and the petrol assurance sources; the result of trade organizations in past 37 years and Petrolimex Saigon suggested some recommendations with the City leaders in the time to come.

Next, Mr. Bui Ngoc Bao – Chairman of Petrolimex Board of Management expressed thankfulness to Party’s Committee, People’s Committee, People’s Council and departments of the City directed closely and in a timely manner for the Petrolimex member companies in general and Petrolimex Saigon in particular during the past time; hoped to continue to enjoy keen attention of the City in the time to come. Chairman of Petrolimex Group reported with the City leaders about the strategic development orientation of Petrolimex; insisted on the role – the position and directed the activities of Petrolimex Saigon in the restructuring policy of Petrolimex Group. Petrolimex Group committed to continue efforts to take on the task of stabilizing oil market as directed by the State and the City.

After visiting Nha Be Oil Terminal, on behalf of the delegation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong acknowledged the positive contribution of the Petrolimex Group and Petrolimex Saigon ensured an abundant and timely supply of petroleum products for the market and stabilized business production in the city. Petrolimex was an exemplary oil source enterprise to abide by the regulations of the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and actively stabilized petroleum market. The City Leader appreciated in the Petrolimex Group and Petrolimex Saigon to promote investment in expanding capacity, petroleum technology modernization and the result of trade organizatons insisted on that Petrolimex brand name was trusted and appreciated by the City People and consumers.

Deputy President of the City People’s Committee suggested the Petrolimex Group and Petrolimex Saigon to continue to invest in technological modernization, proposed initiatives with the City about synchronous and long-term solutions to implement the steady stability for the market in all circumstances. At the same time, rapidly developed retail petroleum station network “spacious, modern and civilized” in the city.
To agree with the proposals of Departments, the City Leader directed Departments in the early settlement of Petrolimex recommendations in a timely manner and effectively, such as: completed the land rent procedures in the direction of long – term; conducted to repair retail petroleum stations to ensure safety requirements, urban lanscape; supplemented of Petrolimex Saigon was a member of retail petroleum station network planning in the city; …

In the working session, leaders of Petrolimex Group and Deputy President of the City People’s Committee agreed to establish the policy of cooperation and coordination between Petrolimex and the City People’s Committee. Assigned to Petrolimex Saigon and Department of Trade and Industry to establish specific coopeative programs to approve in June, 2012.
