Beginning in 2013, implementing the information technology infrastructure strategies of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and to match the development of the company, Petrolimex Saigon’s Board of Director has directed to plan and implement to upgrade The Data Center (The Center) in the company (as the Southern region Center) with many improvements.

The Center has been built, maintained and developed from the founding of Petrolimex Saigon; having the function of data storage, operating system software, connecting through computer network system from Headquarter to oil terminal, enterprises, stations, Petrolimex member companies in the southern region; ensuring the sales processes and the internal administration have been connected 24/7 constantly. In this upgrade stage, the modern and advanced technologies have been applied as:
- SANStorage System with a high availability provides capacity of the large data storage, the access speed has fasted than 8 times in comparison with the normal storage system.
- The modern of IBM Server System provides the high performance and many improvements.
-The infrastructure system for data tranmission line in Petrolimex Saigon with the high speed, including: leased line, mega Wan, Internet; at the same time, there are backup transmission lines, ready to replace when there is a problem such as a severed cable, fault of transmission line, ...
-Internet Wifi System has the ability to meet the large number of accessors, connecting 24/7, serving for needs of employees anytime and customers who come to transact at the Headquarters Office.
-Firewall system of Checkpoint with a high security level.
-Rack cabinet system, accuracy and modern refrigeration system of Emerson help The Center operate at the best performance status.
After completing to upgrade and develop, from May to now, The Center has been operated more efficiently, stability and safety; contributing to enhance the administration and customer service of Petrolimex Saigon; aiming to become the second largest data center of Petrolimex in Southern region.
